I'd give this no rating if I could. The text purports to be an actual visit to the composer. Reading along it becomes evident that it is a made up report it becomes evicent that it is made up, not a documentary. No doubt it was meant to appeal to the Mendelssohn-admiring public in England with an idealized picture of the composer.Product details

Awesome narrative. You could almost here the maestro performing. Conversation was glib and charming at the same time. A fun read.
